A winter morning

Paragraph about A Winter Morning

Title: A winter morning

Bangladesh have six seasons. Of the six seasons the winter is undoubtedly the coldest season in Bangladesh. Winter in Bangladesh is pleasant, eagerly awaited and planned for. The autumn season passes off almost unnoticed in this country. But if nature had shortchanged us in one way, she has compensated by giving a balmy buoyant winter. The Bengali month of Kartik, that is early winter, is celebrated by poet Jibanananda Das in his poetry as a period that reveals the inner beauty and soul of Bengal. The best part of winter which attracts us most is the winter morning. Winter morning is cold and foggy. .. Sometimes, the fog is so dense that the sun rays cannot get through it. Everything seems hazy and indistinct. As a result, communication system is disrupted. And it causes much hardship to people. Sometimes, cold waves blow throughout the country.   The grass remains wet with dew drops. When the sun rises, dew drops sparkle like pearls. Old people and children shiver in cold. Poor people gather straw and make fire to bask in the heat. Animals too are helpless. They hide themselves in the corner of house and try to save themselves from the biting cold outside. People get up late in the morning. Old people and children get up a bit later to evade cold of the early morning. The sun having raised the old and the children enjoy basking in the sun to get rid of cold. Working people get out of the doors when the fog disappears and when the sun is hot. Bengalese settled abroad, make it a point to come and spend the winter in Bangladesh. The sun-bathed fields and farms look as serene as though they were flooded by moonlight. The fog and mist lend an added mystery to the quiet beauty. It is another irony that winter mornings are short but crowded with activities. The foggy morning will be flavored by the steaming hot Pitha made from ground rice and seasonal date-palm molasses. Date juice sellers become busy for selling date juice from door to door. They find the winter here pleasant as the winter in any European country is tremendously cold. A winter morning in Bangladesh is thus quite fascinating for them.  People from all walks of life, especially villagers enjoy eating native cakes which are called ‘Pitha’ in Bangle. The scene of a winter morning is very transitory. This scene starts disappearing as the day advances. In a word the winter morning is very cold and also very charming.
